A volunteer writes: Benny is a sweet rottie mix who has had a rough start. He wound up in the pound with no where to go so MARS took him in. When he arrived in rescue we noticed there was a problem with his eye. Shortly after the vet saw him and it was decided that he needed it removed. His surgery was done the first week in May and he is now adjusting to his new world. Due to the changes Hooch(Benny) is having some anxiety when he is left alone and would really appreciate a home with someone home most of the time. He really wants to be with his people all the time. With some training and patience we feel he will be able to work through this, he just needs the right home willing to help him cope with his new life. He has the typical rottie personality, very loyal and protective of his people and home. He needs a confident pack leader who can help him feel safe and not feel like he has to protect everyone all the time. He really would love a running partner too! He really is such a lover and a very smart boy.
